Chicken soup, Kozhi Chaaru

Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1/4 kg (with bones) 
  • Small Onion - 3 to 5 (crushed)
  • Garlic - 3 (crushed)
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tspn
  • Pepper powder - 3/4 tspn (or to taste)
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Gingelly Oil - 1 tspn

Recipe:

  1. Add all the ingredients together in a vessel. Bring this to boil once.
  2. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  3. Then drain the soup and serve hot with a tspn of Oil on top.
  4. Use the chicken to prepare chicken recipes.

    i love to eat Chicken Soup, my mom used always serve that dish with me specially when i am sick during my childhood days.

    Just want to clarify, isn’t chicken stock the base to make chicken soup ? I’m not sure that by just boiling these ingredients you’ll be able to make an authentic chicken soup. Stock is most important.

    i love all sorts of soup but my most favorite soup is none other chicken or beef soup.;~:
